Welcome to Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp …

Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp is set within an acacia thicket on the banks of the Great Fish River. The camp overlooks lovely deep river pools, lined with reed beds, edged by fast flowing rapids; and is shadowed by beautiful tall cliffs forming part of the dramatic landscape surrounding Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp.

Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp which can be booked for a minimum of 4 guests consists of four dome tents which sleep 2 guests each. The tents are comfortably laid out, each on its own individual deck, under the tall trees. The dome tents are furnished with 2 single beds (linen/sleeping bags and pillows provided) and a cupboard to store your torch, bird book and binoculars. The central ablutions are situated to one side of the camp to give privacy and consist of two showers complete with hot water (solar geyser) and two flush toilets.

As Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp is a self catering camp, the fully equipped central kitchen, is perfect for preparing those wonderful camping recipes, and is within close proximity to the communal boma area which boasts a large fire pit for your "talking" fire. Folding camp chairs and tables are provided for the boma or kitchen area, as well as a gas braai and traditional braai to choose from (gas and fire wood are provided). The central kitchen is equipped with a gas fridge, gas cookers, all crockery and cutlery to service the camp.

A lovely camping atmosphere is created at night by the use of rechargeable lights, paraffin lanterns, as well as solar lights at Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp. Whilst day time leisure activities maybe relaxing and enjoying your natural surroundings, birding, fishing on the banks of the Great Fish River, scenic walks along the river and to nearby waterholes. Game drives, guided walks etc can be arranged on request, please see details of the activities offered and costs thereof at Bucklands Private Game Reserve. Bucklands Private Game Reserve will transport guests to and from Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp from the Reserves office.

What to bring: All food and beverages (no catering is provided), your own towels and toiletries, torch, bird book, binoculars, photographic equipment, sun block, insect repellents, hats, books, your own fishing tackle (or you can hire from us) and good walking shoes.

Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp ~ Rates

Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp rates are quoted per person per night, self catering, in South African Rands; should you require these rates in a foreign currency, kindly contact us for assistance. Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp Rates are valid from the 1st March 2011 to the 28th February 2012 and are subject to the Terms and Conditions of Bucklands Private Game Reserve. Child Policy:-
Children 4 yrs and over are welcome at Bucklands Rustic Tent Camp. Children aged 4-12yrs sharing with parents receive a 50% discount on our Rustic Tent Camp rates.
